2243 Olivewood.

Such outstanding figure, but unfortunately this Olivewood bowl has a crack that was exposed when turning. The crack is just barely noticeable in the other view. It was repaired with epoxy, but was too prominent to try and sell it. It will therefore become a give-away bowl to the ladies at my church. I'm not sure where the bowl blank came from originally, but it may have been Israel. 5 5/8" x 2 15/16".

If it's olivewood from the Holy Land, the church ladies should love it and find a very important use for it. Dispensing wafers at communion? Holding numbers to be drawn at bingo?

You bet, Dean :)

I consider these give-away bowls to be a great way to make friends and do good within the community.... :)

Fantastic obie olive bowl. I don't know what kind of crack it has, but here in Greece they sell them with holes where half the bowl is missing!

Howdy, and thanks Dimitris..... :)

Oh, I'm pretty sure someone would have liked, and bought this Olivewood bowl in spite of the crack.....but, I feel it's necessary to uphold a certain standard with my bowls. My professional reputation is more important to me than the money I will lose. Hope that makes sense. :)
