A painting in Oak burl

This plate was made from a burl (or burr as we say in England) that came from a 500 year old Oak tree.It was felled because it became unsafe and I managed to save this piece before it was burned. If you turn the plate upside down another painting appears by magic!
Beautiful. What a surprise when your 'painting' emerged. Nicely done.
