A true spiral lamp

These are the step required to make my spiral.
No twisting, no bending.
The turning and carving steps are clear enough, even with such a tiny picture. But getting power to the lamp sockets is still a mystery. First one I've seen like this, I think. Trained termites? Tesla coil nearby? Batteries in the sockets?
