I call this my "Ball in a Cage Goblet". It's made of Cherry and is 3 1/4" dia. x 7" tall. The ball in a cage and captive ring of rings were carved using both a rotary tool and by hand using carving tools. The finish is urethane oil.
That captive ring of rings is a very nice and unique idea. I like it. The entire piece draws my interest. Nice turning and carving.
