Walnut, copper and tussock grass
Height: 405mm (16")
The vessel is three sided using three centres top and bottom.
It has a Greek influence for Greek category in an exhibition coming up in September.
The copper handles are turned on the lathe then bent and a patina added.
The pattern around the top is based on a Greek motif.

i like it, when you say three sided using three centres, you lost me, i could see doing the bottom, and the top, and joining them but, maybe a little abc directions and maybe a little more experience for me and i may try

The inside is round but the out side is three sided. The bottom piece where the centers were has been carved to form the point.

for some reasons, probably the movies, whenever i think of a new zealander, i hear a scottish brough, or accent, when i first read your post it was not there, but as soon as i read your location it was, your craft is excellant

Hi shultgw,
Thanks for the comments. I turned the copper on my wood lathe using a 1/4" Bowl gouge taking light cuts then sanded to 400 grit. Robbie
