BIGMOUTH!

This piece was a fun piece to learn a little about how to use the Escoulen No. 1 chuck purchased at the recent AAW symposium in Albuquerque. It was done as a pun towards my own tendency to open my mouth when it should have remained closed. The woods are Mesquite and Hard Maple finished with Prisma Color dye and 6 coats of spray on lacquer. The turned and carved sculpture is 5 x 5 x 8.
Don - You are sooo correct in that assessment. It was fun to give this piece a little character in the final turning and carving. Glad you like it. Thanks.

Thanks Hal, character and personality were the main objective in this piece. Glad you like them and it made you smile a little.
