Black Beauty

A plain piece of Manitoba Maple that needed something done to it. The texturing was applied with a ball burr in a high speed grinder.A somewhat boring and time consuming process!!!! I then sprayed on flat black paint and top-coated with a coat of satin spray lacquer. I like the overall effect.
Size aprroximately 7" by 7" by 1/4" wall thickness.
I like the overall effect too. And it has a nice sheen to it, but is not too shiny - so I agree the flat black was probably a good choice. Probably a piece that coffee and good music would help with. The rim looks good next to the textured surface.
