Butterfly Bowl
A pyrographed and pierced butterfly motif celebrates the rim of this hand textured decorative bowl. The metallic silver acrylic paint inside is highlighted by a coat of water-based polyurethane with interference blue pigment. Two coats of polyurethane with gold and interference green interference pigments bring out the textures of the outside of this bowl. In some lighting scenarios the butterflies will seem to be hovering over a greenish meadow with blue sky behind them.
Spalted Maple 5 inches by 9 inch diameter.
