Cherry Burl Bowl

This natural edge Cherry burl bowl is about 9" x 4" and 1/2" thick. It has been dyed and finished with Danish oil.
Thanks for the comments!

I used Yellow and Red Chestnut Spirit Stain. I know it title says stain but it is advertised as a fast drying, fade resistance dye. I also used Zinsser two part wood bleach before I dyed the bowl. This is something I learned from Joe Fleming for airbrushing wood. However, I applied the dye with a rag. For the rim I used a combination of black dye and a Sharpie.

I love this bowl. it is well developed with the sides open as though ready for open embrace. The color is spectacular. I would like to try this bleaching/ staining technique.
