Correct me if I'm wrong but from what I read, that is a true calabash form. No flat on the bottom so it rocks without tipping over. Very nice.

Thanks, Sam! I’m certainly no expert, but that’s correct about the round bottom. I’d say it’s calabash inspired.

Looks perfect to me.

I actually watched an old john wayne movie a while back "Donovans reef" I think and in it some of the girls were carrying large calabashes around on top of their heads.
