cherry platter

The lathe is designed to make things round, sometimes for lots of reasons I dont want that to happen. In this case there was some wood I wanted to save and there was lots of decay that had to go, it was a matter of knowing when to stop. 14.5" x 1.25" Cherry Platter finished with a combination of polyurethane, tung oil and turpentine.
