Cocobolo Platter

This platter is a commission piece in cocobolo. The diameter is 14 5/8", made from one 2" x 8" board, cut and glued side by side. The grain turned out to be very pretty. Finished with MM's walnut oil. Comments and critiques welcome.
Hello Kurt......

Very nice platter, indeed!

I was surprised when I read that you had glued two boards together for this one! It looks like one solid piece of wood. The grain matches nicely with it......very nicely.

Odie,
Thanks for your very kind comments. Mother Nature had a lot to do with how well the glue joint was hidden!

Beautiful, Kurt! I didn't notice any seam either. Didn't give it a thought. I love cocobolo and this is a fine piece. Nice work!
