Dick - So, how did you safely cut the wave? - John

Following John Beaver’s demo, I started out with a piece of wood that was roughly a cube and laid one flat side on the bandsaw table while cutting the piece in two along a curved line about two thirds of the way up the cube.

Guess my question was not clear. How did you cut the protruding wave to match the curve in the bowl? In the Beaver process the protruding wave is cut from the bowl using bandsaw jig to hold the bowl. Clearly not the case with your bowl because bowl wood not same as protruding wave wood. - John
