This was done years ago by master turner Del Stubbs. Yes, that's a dime and there is a loose ring turned from the stem!
When I first saw the small picture I assumed the ribbed edge of the coin indicated a quarter, still pretty amazing for that quality of a goblet and the captured ring. With the further reduction in scale given it is sitting on a dime, the most detailed comment I can think of is just WOW! Amazing.
