I like the shape, I think it's pleasing. What I really like is the dye treatment and finish on this as well as the red pot. Did you use a mix of dyes or one color on each. I really like the colors! Also, what brand wipe on poly did you use?

Both this one and the previous red pot were dyed with a single application of water soluble aniline dye. In both cases, the main colour was mixed with a bit of black(less for this one and more for the red pot). It can take a bit of experimentation to get the color you want, as the result can vary depending on the underlying wood (its color and how much it tends to absorb the dye). The finish is about 7-10 coats of Minwax gloss wipe-on polyurethane with very light sanding with 600 grit as needed between coats to keep the dust particles in check.
