dyed sycamore bowl

dyed sycamore bowl

This little bowl is nine inches by about two and a half inches tall. It was turned from a block of sycamore and then dyed a combination of navy blue, aqua green and turquois. I like the interaction of round and square together. It was all turned but the feet came out a little to wide for my taste and I did narrow them down by carving on them.
Richard-

Outstanding bowl- the coloring is spot on along with the finish. One thing- next time that you take a picture of one of your pieces make sure that the price tag has been removed.

Gary, when I took the picture it wasn't with the intent of posting it. I had tried to take a picture at home that I was going to post and I just couldn't get the right lighting, the picture didn't look good and I decided not to post it. Then I took these while I was at the gallery and when I saw how much better they turned out I decided to post them. But yes, I wish that I had taken the tag off.
