e pluribus unum

Just piddlin around with a piece started last year. The ball is made from a whole bunch of different woods from cutoffs that I am unable(my wife says unwilling) to discard, and was sitting on a shelf since winter. I just finished the stand last week. The globe is around 10" or so and the rest is probably around 16 or 17. The globe turns, as well as the rings. Didn't really have a full plan when I started, but I guess it turned out ok. Thanks for stopping by-Robin
very nice, who needs a plan? for us non Latin readers, what does e pluribus unum mean

Yes, very nice, with or without a plan.
"One from many". Or more precisely, "From many, one."
Secondary motto of the USA IIRC.

Robin, today this piece reminded me of our entire world and everything in it. Nice thought for the Holidays!
