Elliptical Disk

This 2" maple disk was turned with the help of Richard Joyner's pendant backer plate. Could be used as a box lid embellishment or turned into a piece of jewelry.
very nice, Ed, could i inquire what size it is?? and what kind of wood also???

Ed, very impressive, thanks for the tips with english boxwood, i ended up using cup centers on both the drive center and tailstock, i have no idea what you would use to reverse chuck something that delicate

Very nice.

At that size, "removing the furry bits" could be disastrous.

Is it really elliptical? Looks very round from here.
