Elm hollow

Elm hollow

This Wood came from a Ulmus minor tree, it's 12"large 8"tall, and it's been really hard digging into it, but at the end i was very satisfied..i really like the hieroglyphics excaveted by woodworm. It's the first hollow i made that i can show to Woodturners Comunity... ... Thanks,Paolo.
Very nice hollow form Paolo! Turning hard wood with voids, large and thin is sure difficult. Good job.

Hollowing this piece and not damaging the neck, I'm sure, was a real challenge. Very nice result. Like your description of the worm tunnels.

Many Thanks Vincent for your words,
Hal, you are right, for my nowdays skills it was a real big deal, but at the end i was so proud of this piece that i gave fastly like a present to a good friend of mine...Thanks Hal for your intervention.
Paolo
