Figured Ash Platter
Kevin Weir

Figured Ash Platter

One of the last large platters from a plank of figured ash sawn 2 years ago. This one is 21 inches in diameter and 2 inches thick. Finished with 6 coats of wipe-on poly.
With the platter setting on the base does the rim slope toward or away from center? I can't tell from the pictures.

@Tom De Winter Hi Tom. The rim has a slight upward slope as it approaches the bowl part. I noticed it’s difficult to tell too. It is my iPhone lens. Need a better camera!
