Figured Oregon Myrtlewood

Figured Oregon Myrtlewood

At 10.75”d x 6.25”h, this is the biggest hollowform I’ve made recently. The block of myrtlewood it was turned from came from the estate of Andy Johnson-Laird, which I recently helped pack up. We pulled some incredible blocks of wood out of his crawl space.
Most excellent. What hollowing rig did you use? Trying to understand how you could get a tool to bend that much through such a small hole.
