Fluted Vessel 3 detail

This piece was from a "dead" Cocobolo log I purchased at the symposium in Richmond. The log came from the mountains of central Mexico. Some of the nicest color comes from these logs.

The size is 7" dia x 7" tall. It was turned and carved by hand using only a flexible shaft tool, files, rasps and lots of sanding.

No oils or finishes were used. The piece was simply buffed.
