I was asked to make a Grolla but I didn't know what it was but now I know!! You learn something every day. The client asked if I could give it New Zealand look by adding a koru or fern leaf and this is what I came up with.
The cup is used and is passed around a group of friends and usually hot fragrant coffee in it.
I decided to oil the outside and hopefully it will stop it staining with the coffee.
There is no finish on the inside and am unsure what will happen to it when it has hot coffee in it!!!

My daughter is a potter, she will want to make one also.

Thanks Lionel, you drink out of one of the spouts and I think you have to do this without it coming out of the others!!! Bit of a challenge I think!
