Half Moon Bay

Half Moon Bay

Something about this piece reminded me of the California coast. And it is a half moon shape after all.

This is a split bowl turning, something I've been working on for a while now. Lots of possibilites.

The top lifts off to reveal a small finial with a glass crystal attached.

Figured maple, jarrah, wenge, glass crystal

Alan,

Although I have not seen this piece in person like I have many of the others, I think the simple lines of this piece appeal to me even more than the previous works you've done where the center has been pierced. Nice job.
