Horistes Burl H/F

This is a Horistes burl that I got a year ago last November at a club meeting from Jim Syvertsen and I finally got the inspiration to turn it about a month ago and finished it the other day. The hollow form is about 9" x 3" but the over all height is 9" with the African Blackwood finial and stem. The finish is my usual several(4 or 5) coats wipe-on poly than buffed. just wax on the stem and finial
While the whole thing is beautiful, it is my affection for the finial and foot that really get attention!
