'London'

Last winter I was inspired by Robert Lyon's vessels made from old books so I spent several months gluing up pages of Rutherford's 'London'. These are the result. I used white glue and as Robert said in his article the first time the glue didn't dry out as it should have but in my case it wasn't so bad and I didn't have to make a kiln. The smaller box is 3 x 3 and the taller one is 6 x 2 1/2. Other materials are blackwood and thika nut. I didn't polish the inside of the lid so that the words can still be read.
I had seen Bob Lyon's unique technique also, but thought it way too difficult. You have done a beautiful job with this piece. You now have an heirloom X2.

A unique method, with beautiful results!
