Maple plate
Phil Hamel

Maple plate

9 inch Maple plate I glued up from 6 pieces. Finished with 2 coats of Shellac and 3 coats of friction polish with bee's wax over that. Alcohol based dye I applied and sanded off to the look I wanted. Front of plate is left sanded to 600 and has a tung oil finish.
Very nice Phil! The laser work is very neat! I assume though the black scribble is for privacy and not how the actual piece looks? :)

Correct. Not sure if they want their name online and it’s a gift they haven’t received yet.
Thank you for the reply!
