Metis

Live oak vessel - linseed oiled, edge-burned, black acrylic, sealed, and buffed. Live oak trees are very common here in Florida. Soft as a butter when wet, hard as a rock when dry.
Stunningly beautiful. And I love the photography.

Beautiful work and very nicely photographed. The dark background, wood base, and rim lighting on the natural edge work well together!
