to me this is an exciting piece of wood.as andi wolfe has said sometimes nature does such a fine job of decorating.one would not try to embellish it.

You are not alone! Box Elder has become one of my favorites, it's beautifully colorful as your bowl shows.
I might have liked the lighting a little brighter, but the bowl is great!
