Oak Waves

Oak Waves

This Red Oak Vessel was turned and hollowed on the pith center. I extended the neck higher to capture more medullary ray patterns. It was sandblasted, dyed and waxed to accentuate the flow of the growth rings.

This is the first of three pieces that I will display at the Harford AAW instant gallery.

Dims: 13 H x 8 1/2 Dia.
