Ode to Edgar

This is another in my series of wall hung pieces. The Title refers obliquely to Edgar Allen Poe. The red (blood?) ring is dyed figured maple. The lower pendulum (no, it doesnt swing) is held by a 14″ long stem, turned to about 1/16″ at its narrowest. The pendulum hangs about an inch from the wenge circle inlaid in the oak backdrop.

Dyed figured maple, ebonized maple, wenge, red oak
