bradfrod pear

doing a series of forms inspired from "Southwestern Pottery - Anasazi to Zuni" by Allan Hayes and John Blom
thanks for the welcome Ed, i will be in the round for the next series with the bradford pear, not sure which direction the lathe will journey after that

Hi, Lionel

while i have this bradford pear wood i most likely will do some engraving on the round forms, they may be just repeating symbols instead of a picture with different elements, really have not planned to far ahead, i have 3 more pieces turned/drying and some more wood
thanks for looking

its an abstract object, i made 3 burns that are similar around the form, i have since burned the inside of the object....the southwest indians used a lot of abstract objects in their pottery......the beak reminds me of a baby bird, and it was close to easter.....good to hear from you Mark, thanks for looking
