Pheonix, 2023, front view

Lumber used: spalted Honey Locust crotchwood, spalted Maple, spalted Honey Locust, clear Maple and Cherry burl. The upper part of the sculpture was turned on 5 different centers, with Shou Sugi Ban techniques used on the vessel. Vessel is hollow, and the measurements are 12" x 25-1/2".
