Pierced Egg Shell Ornament w/ stand

A pierced goose egg shell ornament on a Cherry stand. The shell was pierced, painted, and mounted on a Blackwood base. There is a faux diamond stickpin on a
pedestal inside. The whole contraption stands about 8
inches tall. The Cherry stand was cut from solid as opposed to steamed and bent.
very nice

Hal, Piercing an egg shell is pretty easy with a high speed dental tool (350,000 rpm) and carbide bur. Not as easy with anything running at a slower speed. It can be done but it is much easier to cause breakage.
