Plain ol Walnut

This measures 6.75 x 7.5 inches high. I`ve not done much carving....I guess this is a baby step in that direction, lol. Comments always welcome and helpful.
Plain ol walnut it is not. Beautiful piece. In my opinion, for a more elegant look, make the base smaller and more subtle.
 
Really like your beginners carving try, Vinny. Turned out great. I'm not much on carving either, but you gave me a lot of possibilities to think about. Thanks!

My apologies Vincent. It wasn't until I saw the piece on WOW I realized the base was really feet. Makes a big difference.
