The lighting in this picture shows the stepped design of the elements, typical of routercarving. I'll often carve the design to a more rounded form, but I left this one flat.

Just noticed this piece. Love the layering of the carving. Haven't been on here for awhile, too busy in the shop. Just posted some of my new stuff too.
