Rubic's cube segmented bowl

This is bowl turned and assembled by my friend Rod Smith. I've seen a lot of segmented work but this is one of the most unusual.
That is a fabulous feature ring Rod! Thanks for sharing John!! It looks like there is some minor cross grain issues with those staved pieces, might crack, might not! 3-D cubes look great!
