Ball is hollow. Wallnut and maple. Star is 12 pointed made of boxelder.

?Assembly techniques?? I made a bowl shape jig, 1/2 half the size of the outside of the ball. No more-no less. I double sided taped the pieces in the bowl. Then I glued small wood pieces, of the correct angle, on the joints. Then the moment of truth; The 2 halves must fit each other. Fill in the wedge spaces between pieces. Turn to a sphere. Fill in the triangles with ground stone. Finish turn and varnish.
