Spalted Maple Vessel

Spalted Sliver Maple. 5 x 6.75 inches / 12.7 x 17.5 cm

At the risk of redundancy, here is a spalted version of this form. :)
I like the grooves. You've retained the beauty of the wood and the shape of the vessel but you've added a detail that directs the eyes over the entire piece. Very interesting.

Thanks guys.....Gary, this is Tung oil and Ren. wax. Seems to me the Tung oil builds better than the Danish oil....seems to have more resin and less solvent than the D.O.
I use spray can shellac on the interior....it`s more inert, dries faster and smells better.....maybe,lol.
