Spalted River Birch Hollow Form

Spalted River Birch Hollow Form

I turned this from a piece of River Birch from a tree in my neighborhood. It spalted quickly and almost too much. It is 8" X 2 5/8" and finished with several coats of Miniwax Tung oil finish and then buffed. Given to the 2010 Chattahoochee Woodturners Christmas auction.
Hey, Mike, nice form, and I like the wood.
Haven't turned River Birch yet, and if we have it around here, I've not seen it.
