Did you turn the inside on center, then turn the outside off center, or the other way around?
I hope you will bring this to Showcase, so I can get an even better look at it.
HI George, Thanks! I turned inside and outside first, leaving about a 1/2" wall thickness. Then, I turned a plug to fit the opening. Back between centers, mounting the plug off center. Turning removed wood from only one side; then by rotating the plug in small increments, I removed wood in stages, leaving only one heavy wall section to carve. I'll bring something similar, this one's gone.
