This is a piece of maple that I turned,carved and textured. The color is done with black gesso. About 9" wide and 3" tall. Inspired a bit by Betty Scarpino. I love her flowing carved pieces. This is my first attempt at carving. Had a blast with it and hopefully will continue with more.Thanks for looking :)

I'm glad to see this one again. I was intrigued the first time I saw it on the WOW site and find myself lost in this piece again. (Lost is a good thing). As I told you the first time, this piece evokes a calming sense of well being in me. I love it!
