"The Pharoah'

The curved section is completely turned from black walnut, no carving involved. The base is poplar and walnut with brass feet. I did this piece a year ago.
It is surprising that this piece did not get more attention. It looks great and intriguing.
If you don't mind, can you describe (in more details) how did you turn the curved part?
 
I saw a video where you demonstrated how you create these shapes. Totally fascinating and inspiring. Your work tickles the mind. Love it.
