Tortoise beetle bowl
Robbie Graham

Tortoise beetle bowl

Wood: Chamaecyparis lawsoniana
width: 6-3/8", 160mm, height: 2", 50mm
This is a multi-axis turned piece with pyrography texture and iridescent metalic acrylic paints.
Bottom and edge texture inspired by one of the colourful tortoise beetles.
Nice one Robbie. I wasn’t familiar with tortoise beetles, and had to look them up. Pretty beautiful group, particularly the imperial tortoise beetle. Good stuff!
