Turner's "Truffles"

When I was at Barb Gill's last week, we harvested a bunch of root burls from an uprooted Hickory tree. They were very small and as I was digging the dirt from around them, they reminded me of truffles in appearance, hence the name. These two pieces are each 1 1/2" tall. It's amazing what hides below the ground. Finished with Waterlox. Comments welcome.
Carole, these are both excellent. I have to admit I like the shape of the one on the right better than the other, but the grain on both is awesome! Well done!
