Hi. Anyone know where I can get a tool rest with a 1.25 stem. I have a Vega 1552 and am not particularly fond of the tool rest which came with it. I prefer the slightly angled rests that come with the powermatics and Jets. Thanks, HB

Rest

The best is to go to your local machine shop and have one made. That way you get exactly what you desire.

Another Idea

Maybe a cheaper alternative is to buy the 1 in post rest and have a machine shop manufacture a 1.25 adapter ring for the post.

I was going to suggest the WoodCraft Modular system, but that only goes to 1". Some one mentioned another modular system in another post, maybe that one goes to 1.25". Or you could get a 1.25" bar and weld a bolt on the top to match.
