#3 Morse Taper Live Centers

My Robust was previously owned by someone that mainly made lighting pieces and I believe he ordered the tail stock with #3 MT quill for drilling reasons. I'm currently running a #3 to #2 MT adaptor with most of my live centers. Is there any live center that people with #3 MT prefer over the Oneway? I contacted Brent to see if I could have a new quill made, but to no avail.

Just curious; why other than Oneway? They are hands-down the best and reasonably priced. Check out Carl Ford's website. He does in-depth analysis of lathes/accessories

Call Brent at Robust, I'll bet they could make you one. I like the Robust live center, but I can't say I prefer it to the Oneway. Both work just fine. Either would be far better than using the adapter.

Check out metal lathe live centers. They come in #3 morse tapers.

A #3 morse taper live center is very common in metal turning, but the cup center point is not.
