I have been using the Merit Power-lock abrasives since the 1980's, and have had great success with them. It wasn't until recently that I made a discovery, quite by accident, that has been a major improvement in their versatility.

You can change the diameter of these discs, and any of the rubber backers to suit any particular need that is required.

Pretty simple, really......just spin the rotating disc, or rubber backer on a coarse grinding stone like those used in angle head grinders. The one I use is a worn out wheel for a grind wheel dresser.......same thing, very coarse.

I wish I had been aware of this years ago! :(
