Woodturners,
I purchased a 10" Woodfast from Dave Hankey at Arrowmont this summer. Hurricane Katrina rained down on her pretty hard. I dried her out for a month and she ran for about 1 day. I heard a loud "POP" from the controller area and it quit. About an hour later it started again, another "POP" and it'd now deader than a doornail.
Anybody know where I can get this serviced since Woodfast isn't around any longer? If not serviced, replaced. I'm sure insurance will help since it was water coming down, not up. I also lost 6 roof panels and lots of turning wood. But on the upside, I have enough pecan in my yard to last a year or two.

Try Chuck Woodruff at WOODCO PRODUCTS he is listed in the AAW directory.
Have been satisfied with his controllers.

MR. Ingenuity here! I have found a Oneway, Vicmarc and a no brand controller to fit the item. Now I'm holding out for a reversing unit and a larger motor. If you got to change items, change them for the better. Thanks to all who sent me help, even craneman54 (Hampsters?)

Thanks for all the help

Woodturners,
Thanks for all the help. I found a replacement, and lots of help, from Roger Durst at Craft Supplies. He's assembling the controller, adding some switches and misc, and getting me back in turning. Convinces me that CS can come through for you. They even gave me a very nice discount because I lost my baby in the storm.
Thanks to all your help. This forum works and so do you.
