1871 Madrone burl.

Even though this bowl blank was in storage for a number of years, and metered 12% MC, I decided to rough and monitor weights. As it turned out, It only lost 0.4 oz of weight over a period of 7 months. I could have finished it in one setting, but there is no way to know for sure, unless you go through the seasoning process to confirm. In more cases than not, dry bowl blanks usually benefit from a seasoning period.....but, not this one! 9 11/16" x 3", 1 lb 1.5 oz., sanded to 600gt, Danish oil natural, Beall 3-step buff. Undercut rim. Sold 7/21/22 for $335.
